Comment: This is a complete scam which Airtel is trying to implement like a sugar coat in the name of new policy, on its proud customers. Such cheap activities are not at all expected from Airtel. Till date, I was a proud customer of Airtel Broadband unlimited. I am a downloading freak and for that i have chosen Airtel unlimited 1 year back. But if Airtel is really do not bother about its customer base, I really will not hesitate spending my valuable money with some other company.

Airtel used to consider only downloads for FUP. Now they started calculating both Download+Upload for FUP. This is annoying... I am having a 4MBps this plan since 18 Months and they changed their FUP calculation from download to download+upload since 3 months...I came to know this, because i started tracking my usage using the freeware - NetWorx.

Though we have a download speed of 4MBps, the upload speed is still 512KBps. If we ask "why upload speed is so slow...?", Airtel says that they don't support upload speed. If upload speed is not supported, i don't understand why they started calculating upload+download for FUP.

Airtel used to provide PC secure antivirus for free along with this plan... I never used though. Since 2 month, Airtel started charging us with Rs. 85+Tax per month even though we were not using their PC secure antivirus... we have to call up the customer care every month after bill generated and ask them to fix this.

Earlier, Airtel used to send their representative to fix any disconnect/fault wire issues. Since 3 months, the complaints are updated as 'RESOLVED', even though no one even attends the complaint or call us to understand the issue...

I have also read many complaints/frauds on many websites and consumer forums. Going in this direction, im sure Airtel broadband will definitely see the downfall soon.

Just waiting for a good competitor to serve us better....

It gets better and better - FUP limits are now reduced - from 100GB to 10GB in stages, and the speed post FUP is 256kbps, there is not a single plan with them that has higher speed post FUP. So I'm shifting to MTNL which gives 1Mbps unlimited for 1100 (including taxes) as compared to my Airtel F**** Plan which costs 1200, gives me 2Mbps for 10GB and promptly reduces bandwidth by 7/8ths or 87.5%. The supreme irony is that Sunil Mittal gives public Gyaan on Internet penetration and how it will help India develop. Sunil Mittal - I can tell you what to do with Airtel Broadband (not very polite)......

Comments: The new Fair Usage Policy (FUP) hurts. I hardly get 10 days of my subscribed 1 MBPS speed and my speed then comes to 256 KBPS. What is the use of FUP in India, I don't understand. When all over world (even in poor countries) they are charging very less than compared to Indian Broadband providers AND ALSO they are NOT bounding their users with such rotten FUP, then why this is being implemented in India, I don't understand it yet. I think we must request TRAI directly to make this 1 MBPS plan as the minimum threshold just as I heard that there was a news about this in 2009 but still no updates on that from TRAI yet.

Comments: Their new fucking fair usage policy sucks to core. . when i bought connections 2 years back those assholes told i will get 1mbps unlimited but now they are telling that they had informed me but till today i was using 1mbps and i have downloaded lots and that stupid customer relation officer tells " some time there will be tech problem so u wont get affected" ROFL @ These stupids

Comments:My torrent worked for half a day. then next morning they did somethingto stop it. Apart from webmails, I have not other data download / upload activity. When contacting them on phone they claim to have done nothing to stop torrent - they blame it on the torrent software.

Comments: My speed dropped from 4 MBPS to 256 KBPS on the 4th (as confirmed by a customer care agent), when I had used up only 28 GB . They are now claiming that I have downloaded the rest of my data limit @ 256 KBPS in the ten days between the 4th and the 14th. I have done the math and it's not physically possible. I kept on demanding a rational solution and kept on getting half baked automated replies.

Comments:Yes, Airtel needs to get their act together when this was imposed I was told only 30GB limit is for the download and upload we are not tracking.

But now these idiots put everything together and I hardly get a week of this 2 Mbps speed, instead of fighting with this Airtel deaf and dumb idiots, I think we must request Trai to make this 2 Mbps plan as the minimum threshold(There was a news about this in 2009 but still no updates on that from TRAI), so that we need not depend on these money suckers.

Comments: I am very sick and tired of this FUP. When MTNL and Reliance can provide unlimited plans, why can't Bharti Airtel DO it?? If they dont remove this FUP and raise it to a decent and FAIR level, they're gonna see a lot of migrations to other ISPs by their users...
