Airtel removes Fair Usage Policy limit on 256 kbps Unlimited package (at least in some areas)

Latest information available to us is that Airtel has now removed the limits put on by the Airtel Fair Usage Policy on the 256kbps unlimited plan.
This is probably because the speeds when reduced to 128kbps did not comply with the TRAI’s broadband requirements of 256kbps minimum speeds.
This also tells us that the company is just bluffing when they claim that they need Fair Usage Policy to maintain the sanctity of their network.
They have been playing with their customer base with this Fair Usage Policy excuse. First they increased the limits and now they have removed the limit on one of the packages.
This is just plain bullshit on part of Airtel and we are the losers.

Update:
Airtel site seems to be a mess. Some regions are showing the limit on the 256kbps UL plans… while others are not. Please comment in case the limits are still applicable in your city.
Obviously, 128kbps is just rubbish..
It is still applicable in Bangalore according to their website which off course sucks
FUP is removed in Tamilnadu, confirmed by customer care. But website still displays it.
Is it true that Fair Usage Policy is removed from TamilNadu ??
If it is true then i am really happy..
Now they have become too intelligent. They started calling 256kbps UL as Internet plans ( value combo *) instead of broadband plans , so that when they downgrade speed nobody can complain saying it is not anymore broadband according to TRAI.
How predictable they are….
Sneaky bstrds! Good point!
Looks like they’ve removed this on 256kbps…though the website doesn’t show any information
